A free set of network utilities — IP lookup, geolocation, and port checking — with no account, no sign-up, and no paywall.
whois-ip.com is a small collection of free network tools:
- IPv4 / IPv6 lookup — GeoIP location, address format conversion, reverse DNS, and reputation references for a single address.
- Multiple lookup — the same lookup for up to 200 addresses at once, with CSV/JSON export.
- My IP Address — your own public IP, as seen by our server.
- Website Open Port Checker — checks whether a host responds on a given TCP port.
IP geolocation (country, city, and map coordinates) is powered by the MaxMind GeoLite2-City database, which we auto-update on a weekly schedule (Wednesdays and Saturdays).
Because IP-to-location mapping is based on network registration records rather than GPS, results are approximate — usually reliable at the country/region level, but sometimes off at the city level, especially for mobile carriers, VPNs/proxies, and recently reassigned address ranges.
The reputation card on the IP lookup page references VirusTotal, and links out to independent blocklist/reputation tools (Spamhaus, Talos, MXToolbox, and others) so you can cross-check a result yourself.
Reverse DNS lookups run entirely in your browser via Google's public
DNS-over-HTTPS resolver (dns.google) — the IP address is queried
directly from your browser, not relayed through our servers for this step.
No account or sign-up is required for any tool on this site. Your recent lookup history is stored only in your own browser's local storage and is never sent to us. We keep standard web server access logs (for abuse prevention and reliability) and use privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic.
